NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course

Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. Students will have the opportunity to fire varied firearm calibers at no additional charge for use or ammunition. Inquire here for more details


More Details: $25.00 deposit will secure your slot. Limited seats are available.  This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Bring your pistol with 100 rounds of ammunition for that pistol. If you do not have a pistol to use in the course, inquire about our rental and loaner options.  Land of the Free Academy may provide you with a pistol and ammunition for this course.  Please let us know ASAP that you will need a loaner so that we can discuss options with plenty of time to prepare for class.  Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

There will be no refunds for failure to attend a reserved course.  Please remember that you paid for your chair, the chair will be there wether or not you attend the course.
